OCR Registration Centre

Training the Carer are an accredited OCR Centre and offer registration in NVQ's in Health & Social Care - Levels 2, 3 & 4 (Adult Pathway), the Leadership and Management for Care Services and the A1 Award.

Information, Advice and Guidance

Training the Carer provide Information, Advice and Guidance, which is an independent service to all individuals wishing to consider accessing Training the Carer's NVQ programme and also those already in learning with the company. This ensures that we have learners on programmes that are suited to their needs and is demonstrated by our retention and success rates. The quality of Training the Carers service is continuously monitored, including through feedback received from learners.

NVQ's in Health & Social Care - Adult Pathway

To be able to complete any of these NVQ's, the candidates must be working within a care environment where they are able to provide evidence of competence. All candidates will be interviewed prior to course registration, to ensure that they have chosen the most appropriate course to meet their needs.

Level 2

NVQ Health & Social Care Level 2 provides care workers with recognition for the day to day care delivery they provide to their client group.

Level 3

NVQ Health & Social Care Level 3 provides either experienced care workers or those working as a senior care workers with the necessary qualification to be able to support them in this role.

Level 4

NVQ Health & Social Care Level 4 is appropriate for those in a senior care position with a supervisory role, for example a deputy manager.

Leadership and Management for Care Services

The LMC is a CQC requirement for all managers within the Health & Social Care setting.

IV Support

In addition, if the clients are able to provide their own qualified assessors, we are able to offer the support of an internal verifier along with registration and certification for those candidates.

A1 Award

The A1 award allows individuals to be able to assess candidates who are working towards their NVQ.
